The essence of stand-up comedy is direct and honest contact with the public – live in clubs, theatres or festivals. Similar principles apply on the Internet, and this is one of the reasons for the significant popularity of this site on the local web. In the era of new media, when the Internet and TV channels are overflowing with various forms of comedy, from sit-coms to the reality format, stand-up in a way represents a return to the oratory and a simple form of social criticism. The priority of the Organization „Standup.rs“ is to help young artists who perform their own comedy material to find their authntic expression and the fastest way to reach the public.
